Pam Powell - Radio

In the summer of 2010, with the economy in the doldrums, Pam Wylie proposed to KPCW General Manager Larry Warren that KPCW should have a radio program about how to start a business and how to find a job. To her surprise, Warren said, "Great! We'll include how to invest, how to buy and sell - anything financial. You will produce and you and I will co-host."

Soon, Pam was producing both the Mountain Money program and the Community Voices program for the Park City, Utah radio station, lining up best-selling authors of financial books as well as experts in everything from fracking to Yellowstone, landscape architecture, American history, and Hollywood stuntwork.

This site contains Pam Wylie Powell's favorite and most helpful business interviews and profiles as well as some of her favorite Community Voices profiles (along with a few other radio pieces she recorded).

KPCW logo By the end of March 2012, KPCW General Manager Larry Warren's ambitious project of having a public affairs hour each weekday had become an enormous success, raising KPCW's revenues an incredible 40% over the 18 month period of Pam’s involvement. Pam was responsible for producing 40% of the Public Affairs Hours, as well as being cohost of Mountain Money and later, Community Voices.

Pam decided that, with the economy improving and many of her goals accomplished, it was time to move on to the next adventure. Listen to KPCW’s farewell to her by clicking here.
